3. Recognised for technical expertise in a wide range of accounting issues. Topical expertise includes - IFRS vs US GAAP, conceptual frameworks, public sector and NFP accounting, measurement, business combinations, foreign currency translation, accounting in the extractive industries, accounting structured finance and entities, revenue recognition and lease accounting.

2. Working closely with finance teams to provide pragmatic advice and create solutions for complex issues, including post transaction implementation, financial reporting matters, development and application of accounting policies and procedures.

3. Recognised for technical expertise in a wide range of accounting issues. Topical expertise includes - Public sector and NFP accounting, business combinations, accounting in the extractive industries, accounting structured finance and entities, revenue recognition and lease accounting. Sean was the lead partner in PwC Australia responsible for assisting clients with the transition to the new leasing standard (AASB 16).

4. Specialist in providing accounting advisory services to businesses undertaking complex transactions or dealing with new accounting standards. Recent projects have focussed on balance sheet implications to the sale of asset portfolios to structured vehicles and the complexity around renewables projects.

5. Significant experience in accounting for large infrastructure projects including evaluation of bid models, considering specific structuring solutions for projects and accounting consequences for bidder consortium and Government, and considering the linkage between presentation of accounting treatment in financial reports and the impact on borrowing head room and credit ratings. Recent projects focussing on PPP transactions and privatisations.

6. Provision of advice on selection and implementation of financial reporting solutions including lease accounting software, and automating last mile reporting (eg statutory financial statements and other compliance reporting requirements).
